
Accounting Assistant

The Accounting Assistant provides support to the finance and accounting department by performing clerical and administrative tasks, preparing financial documents, and assisting in maintaining accurate financial records. This position ensures that accounting operations run efficiently and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in recording and maintaining financial transactions such as invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting files and documentation.
- Support the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and audits.
- Encode financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets accurately.
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding billing and payment issues.
- Perform other accounting or administrative duties as assigned by the Finance Officer or Accountant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role (fresh graduates may be considered).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel; knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP) is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
