JOB DESCRIPTION

Principal Accountability

The post of the IT Manager is responsible for the management and design of the IT infrastructure in the Offices, application software evaluation & deployment, the negotiation & coordination of third party vendors, service level management, operations procedure development and liaise with internal users.

1. Management of IT Infrastructure

  • Design, develop and maintain IT infrastructure
  • Manage data center, ensuring the network, application servers, routers, switches, cabling, CRAC units, UPS, electrical supply and all computer room related equipments are in good working condition at all time
  • Design and manage the wide area network to connect to remote offices
  • Manage user network and e-mail account assignment
  • Deploy and manage optimal systems & information security based on HKL standards

2. Service Level Management

  • Define and agree on internal help desk service levels with the business
  • Demonstrate attainment of agreed service levels through provision of regular monthly reports
  • Define, negotiate and monitor required service levels for IT goods and services provided by third party vendors
  • Manage procurement cycle for IT related equipments
  • Provide asset management on all IT hardware and software inventories

3. Information Security

  • Act as the Information Security Officer according to the role defined in HKL, including defining and maintaining Information Security Policy based on HKL standard
  • Implementing security awareness programs

4. IT Audit

  • Implement IT Governance based on HKL standard
  • Perform audit preparation based on concepts of COSO and COBIT control frameworks

5. Application software evaluation and deployment

  • Assist users to streamline business processes, coordinate and liaise with business units on user requirement, gather feedback and provide user training as needed.
  • Coordinate with external consultants/vendors in software projects, evaluating software upgrades and implementation feasibilities.
  • Keep track of all assigned IT related projects and outstanding tasks in the department and monitor their progress.
  • Ensure adequate documentation is prepared in each step of the development, change management and maintenance cycle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years or more of work experience in Windows network environment involving the delivery of computer-based information services, project management, ERP implementation, innovation and systems re-engineering.
  • With solid and hands-on experience in Data Center Administration, Infrastructure Maintenance,Cloud services, back-up design, redundancy and restoration.

  • Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the following technology: Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft SQL, SAP System, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, CRM, Web-application, Symantec anti-virus, Symantec back-up, Microsoft DNS, Avaya PABX, Firewall anti-virus, VPN, LAN, WAN, VoIP, Routers and Network Switches.

  • Working knowledge in IT Compliance, Governance and Data Privacy.

  • Extensive knowledge in network security.
  • Bachelor's degree major in any of the following: Information Technology, Information System, Computer Science or its equivalent
