Job Responsibilities

Position: HR People Design Senior Management Trainee (Recruitment)

Industry: Shipping, Logistics, and Supply Chain

1. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment cycle from job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, to hiring of staff, supervisors, and management roles across shipping, logistics, and supply chain units.
  • Partner with line managers to understand manpower requirements specific to port operations, trucking, warehousing, freight forwarding, and supply chain services.
  • Develop and maintain a pool of qualified candidates for critical positions such as branch managers, vessel crew, safety officers, warehouse supervisors, and drivers.
2. Recruitment Analytics & Reporting
  • Track and analyze recruitment KPIs such as time-to-fill, recruitment funnel conversion, and Recruitment Performance Score (RPS).
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports to highlight hiring performance, manpower gaps, and pipeline health.
  • Use data-driven insights to recommend improvements in sourcing and selection strategies.
3. Employer Branding & Sourcing Strategies
  • Support employer branding initiatives targeting universities, technical schools, and online platforms to strengthen the Group's talent pipeline.
  • Participate in career fairs, OJT/Internship programs, and industry partnerships to attract fresh graduates and experienced professionals.
  • Develop targeted sourcing campaigns for hard-to-fill positions in shipping and logistics.
4. Process Improvement & Systems
  • Assist in designing and refining recruitment workflows, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and compliance with labor standards.
  • Utilize digital recruitment tools, applicant tracking systems, and online platforms to streamline hiring.
  • Contribute to innovation projects in People Design (e.g., recruitment dashboards, competency-based hiring, psychometric testing integration).
5. Separation & Offboarding
  • Support the offboarding process for resigning employees, including coordination of clearance procedures, turnover documentation, and exit interviews.
  • Track and analyze separation data to identify trends in attrition and provide insights to improve retention.
  • Ensure separation processes are compliant with labor laws and aligned with company policies.
6. Stakeholder Management & Coordination
  • Liaise with HR Business Partners and line managers to align recruitment efforts with business needs.
  • Coordinate with external recruitment agencies, government partners (TESDA, PESO), and schools for talent pipeline development.
  • Support smooth onboarding and separation processes to ensure proper workforce transitions.
7. Learning & Development as SMT
  • Undergo structured training across HR sub-functions (Talent Management, CompBen, ER) with focus on Recruitment as primary stream.
  • Participate in leadership development sessions, exposure projects, and mentorship programs under the People Design Department.
