B. STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Admission & Patient Interaction

  1. Interview patients and/or relatives with patience and courtesy at all times.
  2. Admit patients in accordance with the doctor's order.
  3. Ensure patients and/or relatives provide personal data prior to the actual interview.
  4. Conduct interviews based on standard operating procedures.
  5. Ensure the consent for admission is signed in the presence of an admitting staff.
  6. Assign rooms based on patient preference; offer alternative rooms when necessary.
  7. Authenticate patient identity using ID cards, signatures, and personal documents.
  8. Evaluate financial capacity of patients prior to admission.
  9. Request initial payment based on room preference and medical case.
  10. Provide accurate information to patients when requested.

Documentation & System Encoding

  1. Encode patient data accurately into the hospital system.
  2. Review and verify the accuracy of the patient data sheet prior to printing.
  3. Maintain the confidentiality of all patient personal information.

Logistics & Coordination

  1. Guide patients to assigned rooms, either ambulatory or via wheelchair as needed.
  2. Record and identify rooms unavailable for admission due to maintenance or other issues.
  3. Monitor and properly handle all patient room transfer requests.
  4. Accept and manage room reservations to ensure readiness upon patient arrival.
  5. Monitor discharges from nursing units periodically.
  6. Release cadavers following established hospital procedures.

Administrative Responsibilities

  1. Ensure adherence to the hospital's 5S program.
  2. Conduct daily physical count of confined patients.
  3. Prepare the daily census report using a 12:00 midnight cutoff.
  4. Distribute the daily census report to all relevant departments by 9:00 AM the next day.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate superior.
