-Attends to daily nurse endorsement without fail. -Performs nurse’s rounds and assesses the needs of the patients in the ward and makes nursing care plan for all patients. -Performs triage, prioritizing patient’s needs. -Manages basic life support and stabilizes patient until the attending physician is available based upon nursing standards and protocols. -Performs bedside procedures like: -Indwelling Foley catheter insertions, Intravenous insertion -Prepares and administers oral/IV medication, NGT/PEG feeding -Blood and blood products transfusion -Other bedside care procedures (e.g. change of dressing, CBG monitoring, nebulization) -Prepares and administers medicines ordered by the attending Physician. -Admits patients and carry out Doctors order. -Monitors and records patients’ vital signs, intake and output. -Assists physician during physical exams, diagnostic testing, treatments and daily rounds. -Ensures that proper bedside care is carried out by the nurse assistant. -Provides comfort to the patient and maintains safety of the patient. -Carries out the instructions of the Head/Charge nurse allocated by her. -Properly endorses patients to other units (i.e. transfer of patient to other area, during diagnostic procedure) -Keeps herself updated with nursing knowledge by taking part in -service education program. QUALIFICATIONS -A holder of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree. -A Registered Nurse (RN) with active license. -A Certified IV Therapist, BLS and ACLS Provider and other trainings related to nursing specialty. -Should have at least 6 months to 1 year clinical experience or without professional experience as staff nurse but with trainings equivalent to -clinical field of expertise. But fresh board passers with or without experience are encouraged to apply. -Must be eager to learn and willing to be trained. -Should have exceptional critical thinking skills and good bedside manners. -Should observe good organizational skills when performing activities and errands in a planned manner. -Should possess proper stress management skills when handling stressful situations and the ability to work under pressure. -Should demonstrate great passion for continuous training and professional development.
