- Education and Support: Educates and supports patients and families regarding health, therapy, and rehabilitation; attends to emotional and spiritual needs; acts as liaison between patients and healthcare staff.
- Leadership and Coordination: Supervises and trains new staff, acts as head nurse when delegated, maintains supplies and equipment, enforces hospital policies, and promotes teamwork.
- Administrative and Miscellaneous Duties: Admits and discharges patients, documents care accurately, attends meetings, participates in cross-training, and performs other duties as assigned.
