Job Overview

We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer (Part-Time / Consulting Role) to serve as a technical consultant and mentor for our small development team. This is a work-from-home setup.

Our current team includes two junior developers and a project manager. We're seeking someone who can provide expert guidance, improve our code quality, streamline our development process, and help create a structured roadmap for ongoing client requests.

This is a flexible, part-time opportunity — ideal for a seasoned developer who already has a full-time role but is open to contributing their expertise on the side.

Duties

  • Act as a technical advisor and mentor to junior developers.
  • Review and improve existing code to ensure best practices, scalability, and performance.
  • Establish proper SDLC workflows and coding standards across the team.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to plan deliverables, estimate timelines, and manage development priorities.
  • Create a technical roadmap and long-term structure for sustainable growth.
  • Provide recommendations on tools, frameworks, and process improvements.
  • Participate in weekly check-ins or milestone reviews (remote-friendly).

Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years of professional software development experience (backend or full-stack).
  • Proven experience mentoring or leading development teams.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices.
  • Familiarity with agile and SDLC methodologies.
  • Comfortable with Git, Django Python, Node js, Postgres, CI/CD, and collaborative development environments.
  • Preferably with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Flexible availability

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Php5.09 - Php9.32 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
