WHAT IS AN ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE?

Our awesome client, a leading company based in US is looking for an Accounting Associate to be part of their finance team.

This is an Accounting Associate position handling data entry for bills and various month end closing tasks. This position supports other department functions and requires the person to have a basic understanding of these functions, how this position affects the department workflow, and be able to communicate effectively when others may be affected.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES?

  • Essential Functions:

    • Accurate and timely posting of all assigned AP bills in Sage Intacct.

    • Ensuring that all accounts payable activities comply with relevant financial policies and procedures.

    • Investigating and resolving outstanding creditor items.

    • Be proactive in communicating with vendors when there are payment discrepancies.

    • Ability to work with all other departments to answer questions and resolve issues on a timely basis to ensure accurate coding in the GL.

    • Assist with month end closing tasks such as journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, vendor analysis, etc.

    • Manage and allocate Finance team cases within Salesforce timely and accurately.

    • Supporting their manager and Controller in their duties, as needed.

    • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel skills.
