Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Civil Quantity Surveyor /Estimator to support civil construction projects through accurate cost planning, estimating, and commercial management. This role is responsible for preparing cost estimates and tender submissions, managing quantities and budgets, and supporting project teams with cost control and commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

The role suits a civil engineer or quantity surveyor with strong estimating capability and a solid understanding of civil construction methodologies and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare civil cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions including labour, materials, plant, and preliminaries.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and construction documents to quantify works and determine accurate project costs.
  • Analyse tender documents to identify commercial risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options.
  • Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, benchmarking against self-perform estimates.
  • Assist with budget development, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, clarifications, and tender correspondence with clients and subcontractors.
  • Support contract administration activities, including variation pricing and cost impact assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with pre-contract, commercial, and legislative requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating and cost management processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Project Engineer – SMP or similar construction engineering role.
  • Experience in the civil or construction industry (roads, earthworks, infrastructure, utilities).
  • Exposure to FIFO or remote project environments.
  • Proven experience in civil estimating, quantity surveying, or cost engineering roles.
  • Strong ability to interpret civil drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Experience preparing tender submissions, cost plans, and BOQs.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel for cost analysis and reporting.
  • Willing to work in the office full-time at Arcovia City, Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City. (Monday - Friday, morning shift)
