BRIEF DESCIRPTION
The Credit Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the company's credit control and collection operations to safeguard receivables, minimize credit risk, and support business growth through effective customer relationship management. The role ensures that the company's credit policies are implemented efficiently and that customer accounts are maintained within acceptable risk levels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate credit limits for new and existing customers based on financial analysis and payment history.
- Review and monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and implement timely collection actions.
- Develop and execute collection strategies to reduce delinquency rates and prevent potential bad debts.
- Work closely with the Sales, Finance, and Customer Service teams to resolve payment disputes, reconcile accounts, and maintain positive client relationships.
- Conduct credit risk assessments and prepare detailed reports and analyses for management decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies and recommend revisions to improve efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Support the development of internal controls related to credit management and collection procedures.
- Mentor and supervise credit and collection staff to ensure consistent application of credit standards and high-quality performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in credit and collection management, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities in evaluating creditworthiness and managing risks.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective customer engagement.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and credit evaluation tools.
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial data.
