What You'll Do

As our Credit Manager, you will:

Lead Credit Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day credit process and ensure loan portfolio targets are met.
  • Set and monitor productivity targets for credit operations (e.g., applications processed).
  • Conduct regular credit reviews, audits, and recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure branches comply with company credit standards and support them in hitting their performance targets.
  • Address escalated operational issues and develop lasting solutions.

Drive Smart Credit Decisions

  • Evaluate and approve loans within your authority, escalating special cases as needed.
  • Ensure all documentary and eligibility requirements meet company underwriting standards.
  • Coach and mentor branch heads on best credit practices.
  • Participate in field activities such as credit caravans to understand market needs.

Be a Strategic Partner

  • Provide input to management on credit-related process and policy improvements.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory changes and industry trends to mitigate risks.
  • Build strong relationships with credit reporting agencies, insurance providers, and industry partners.

Develop People & Culture

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing credit team.
  • Identify competency gaps and recommend developmental interventions.
  • Foster a positive, growth-oriented team culture aligned with company values.

Support Business Growth

  • Collaborate with management to identify areas for profitable business growth through proactive assessment of the credit environment.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience: At least 5 years in credit management or a related field, preferably in financial services or lending.
  • Leadership: Strong ability to motivate and develop a team to achieve targets.
  • Decision-Making: Solid credit judgment and analytical skills.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to balance risk management with business growth.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
