Job description:

The Quality Assurance / Quality Control Officer (QAQCO) is tasked to ensure that all maintenance, inspection, and repair work meets industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal company specifications.Byconducting audits, root cause analyses, and performance evaluations, the QAQCO supports the continuousimprovement of system uptime, energy yield, and operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Quality Assurance

  • Develop and implement QA procedures and standards for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Monitor contractor and internal team adherence to QA protocols during site inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Support training initiatives for technicians and engineers on QA procedures and best
  • practices.
  • Review and validate documentation such as maintenance logs, inspection reports, and test records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, analyzing trends and proposing changes to improve operational quality.
  • Verify tool calibration used on-site.

Quality Control

  • Perform or oversee inspections and audits of solar PV systems, including modules, inverters, cabling, and monitoring systems.
  • Conduct quality checks during commissioning, routine maintenance, and post-repair activities.
  • Document and report non-conformances, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support root cause analysis of faults, failures, or underperformance and verify resolution
  • effectiveness.
  • Validate third-party workmanship (if contractors are used for maintenance or upgrades).
  • Organize and lead post-RCA (Root Cause Analysis) meetings and lessons learned reviews.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed QA/QC reports for stakeholder's review.
  • Maintain a QA/QC database of issues, inspections, and resolutions.
  • Prepare quarterly QA/QC performance reports for management/investors. ● File compliance documents (permits, insurance)

Coordination and Communication:

  • Coordinate with field electricians and responsible engineers to align on maintenance standards and schedules.
  • Participate in client meetings or audits to demonstrate quality assurance measures.

Others

  • Assist in other necessary work that may be required
  • Build trust relations with partners and other site personne

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field.

Other Skills:

  • Has worked in a similar field and similar profession
  • Minimum of 2 years QA/QC roles, ideally in the renewable energy sector or power plant operations

Familiarity with:

  • Solar PV system components (inverters, modules, optimizers, etc.)
  • O&M procedures (preventive, corrective, predictive maintenance)
  • Root cause analysis and incident reporting
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
