JOB TITLE: POLLUTION CONTROL OFFICER

REPORTS TO: MANAGING DIRECTOR

JOB SUMMARY:

Accredited by the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), a Pollution Control Officer (PCO) is a technically skilled person who keeps an eye on and guarantees that an establishment complies with environmental standards. As the main liaison between the organization and environmental authorities, PCOs oversee pollution control facilities, carry out monitoring and reporting, and create preventative initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:


1.The candidate must have at least an engineering bachelor's degree or its equivalent.

  1. One (1) year or more of work experience in a comparable subject or role.

  2. Strong communication abilities both in writing and speaking, mastery of Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, and attention to detail.

  3. Cooperative but capable of working alone with little guidance.

  4. Ready to assist and visit many locations (Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Makati).

  5. Focused on deadlines

  6. Fulfill basic competency standards, which may include a professional license (such as a licensed engineer), an appropriate technical degree, or a certain number of years spent in a managerial role within the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


To guarantee adherence to air, water, and noise quality regulations, oversee and keep an eye on the upkeep and functioning of pollution control facilities.

Take care of the license, permit, and other environmental permit requirements that the establishment needs.

Report pollution control facility failures as soon as possible, and provide the EMB with verified, regular updates on the effectiveness of pollution control.

Create and carry out initiatives for the establishment's pollution management and prevention.

React to environmental events, such spills, and notify the appropriate authorities of any standard violations.
