Accountant

Job Purpose:

The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company's financial operations. This role covers end-to-end accounting functions, including transaction recording, payroll, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit support. The CPA will work closely with the Finance Manager/Treasurer to provide reliable financial insights that support the company's decision-making and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Core Accounting Tasks

• Record day-to-day transactions in the accounting system (accounts payable and accounts receivable).
• Review, reconcile, and organize financial records for accuracy and completeness.
• Process invoices, receipts, and expense reports.

2. Payroll and Employee-Related Transactions

• Manage payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
• Record overtime, deductions, and allowances of employees.
• Review payroll reports before submission to the Finance Manager/Treasurer.

3. Financial Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Organize, secure, and maintain important financial documentation.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations.

4. Tax Compliance and Government Reports

• Prepare and file BIR forms (e.g., VAT, withholding tax, income tax).
• Ensure timely submission of government contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
• Support compliance with tax regulations and assist during tax audits.

5. Payable and Receivable Management

• Review due payments and manage accounts payable/receivable schedules.
• Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts.
• Ensure timely and accurate settlement of supplier obligations.

6. Support for Internal and External Audits

• Prepare and provide documents requested by internal and external auditors.
• Assist in validating financial records for audit purposes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and company regulations.

7. Other Administrative Tasks

• Respond to financial inquiries from other departments.
• Assist in managing petty cash and employee expense reimbursements.
• Perform other accounting and finance tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in BPO or corporate setting).
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR compliance, and government reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• High attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Working Conditions:

• Site-based role at Caring-One Iloilo Call Center Services with standard U.S. healthcare client hours (night shift: 8 PM – 5 AM, Monday to Friday).
• Requires extended or flexible hours to address operational demands, cross-site issues, client escalations, or strategic projects.
• Reports directly to the President and General Manager, with dotted-line collaboration to Subic leadership under ASI.
• Must maintain strong communication, reporting, and strategic alignment between Iloilo, Subic, and executive leadership.
• Works in a fast-paced, high-performance environment balancing healthcare compliance with BPO operational efficiency.
• May be entrusted with financial approvals and operational funds, requiring fiscal discipline and high integrity

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php50,000.00 per month
