Key responsibilities

  • Financial record keeping: Track and record all financial transactions, such as accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
  • Invoicing and payments: Prepare, send, and track customer invoices. Process vendor payments, issue checks, and handle other disbursements.
  • Account reconciliation: Reconcile various accounts, including bank statements, and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Financial reporting: Assist with generating financial reports and statements by compiling data from various sources.
  • Payroll support: Assist with payroll processing, such as processing time cards or calculating wages.
  • Administrative support: Perform general office duties like filing, answering phones, and managing mail.
  • Communication: Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal departments to resolve issues and answer inquiries.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A basic understanding of accounting terminology and principles.
  • Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information.

  • Has experience in accounts payable
