About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Joinery Draftsman with proven experience in designing and drafting custom kitchens, cabinetry, and joinery projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 3D kitchen design software and the ability to produce accurate shop drawings that meet Australian standards. This is a remote position, working closely with an Australian client and their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate shop drawings, detailed joinery documentation, and cutting lists for kitchens, wardrobes, and custom cabinetry.
  • Create 3D kitchen designs and renderings to support client presentations and approvals.
  • Interpret architectural and interior design plans, ensuring joinery aligns with project specifications.
  • Liaise with project managers, designers, and production teams to clarify requirements.
  • Ensure drawings comply with Australian standards, measurements, and building codes.
  • Revise and update drawings based on client or production feedback.
  • Maintain organized digital files and adhere to deadlines for multiple projects.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience as a Joinery Draftsman, preferably for Australian or international projects.
  • Proficiency in Cabinet Vision, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar 3D kitchen/joinery software.
  • Strong understanding of joinery construction methods, materials, and hardware.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setup while managing multiple tasks.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with an overseas client.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Australian joinery drafting experience.
  • Experience in 3D rendering and visualization for kitchens and cabinetry.
  • Familiarity with Australian joinery standards is required.
Work Setup
  • Remote position (home-based, supporting an Australian client).
  • Working hours aligned with Australian business time zones.
  • Stable internet connection and own drafting software/hardware preferred.
