Data Analyst

Job Summary

The Data Analyst (Commercial) supports the Commercial Business Group by transforming data into insights that drive revenue growth, marketing performance, and operational efficiency across Ayala Land Hospitality (ALH).

Working closely with the Head of Data & Insights, this role consolidates and analyzes data from multiple systems—including Opera Cloud, AWS/Google Cloud, and Tableau—to deliver accurate reports, dashboards, and insights that guide key business decisions. Beyond analysis, the Data Analyst also plays a key role in
collaboration and education
—helping business teams understand, interpret, and apply data effectively in their daily work.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection & Validation

• Collect, consolidate, and validate data from commercial systems, property-level reports, and third-party sources (e.g., OTAs, STR, marketing platforms).
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all ALH properties.
• Work with property and revenue teams to resolve data discrepancies and maintain standardized reporting and data entry practices.
• Support integration of data across Opera Cloud, cloud storage, and BI tools to ensure unified reporting.

Reporting & Visualization

• Prepare regular and ad hoc reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, booking pace, F&B capture, and campaign effectiveness.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain Tableau dashboards and Excel models that summarize performance and highlight opportunities.
• Automate recurring reports to improve efficiency and data reliability.
• Present reports and insights in a visually clear, concise, and actionable format for senior management and property teams.

Analytics & Insights Support

• Analyze commercial trends, pricing performance, booking patterns, and guest behavior to identify opportunities for growth.
• Support the Head of Data & Insights in developing analytical frameworks that measure revenue and marketing performance.
• Contribute to forecasting, segmentation, and pricing models that inform strategic planning.
• Provide data-driven input for
  business growth initiatives, new project feasibility, and market opportunity assessments

Collaboration & Education

• Partner with Revenue, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align on reporting needs and analytical priorities.
• Translate complex data into clear business narratives that support decision-making.
• Support the Head of Data & Insights in conducting data literacy sessions, dashboard walkthroughs, and basic analytics training for business teams.
• Promote the consistent use of data and KPIs across departments, helping teams interpret insights correctly and apply them effectively.

Continuous Learning & Improvement

• Stay updated on analytics tools, data visualization techniques, and hospitality performance benchmarks.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, speed of reporting, and visualization impact.
• Share best practices and contribute ideas that enhance ALH's overall analytics capability and culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Economics, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence, ideally within hospitality, travel, or commercial operations.
• Proficiency in Excel and BI tools such as Tableau (Power BI a plus).
• Working knowledge of SQL, data modeling, or Python/R preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial KPIs (occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, conversion, revenue mix, channel performance).
• Excellent analytical, storytelling, and communication skills.
• Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to educate others on using data effectively.
• Curious and adaptable, with a passion for learning and improving analytics processes.
