Job Description

Job Summary:

Maintain and support equipment readiness. Typically performs one or more of the following in the capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and independently) or as a manager:

  1. Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of equipment
  2. Execute maintenance and tool support to ensure equipment readiness
  3. Troubleshoot and upgrade equipment to minimize downtime
  4. Analyze and monitor technical charts
  5. Drive equipment improvement plans and projects
  6. Ensure and follow good safety practices and custody of tools, equipment, and other properties
  7. Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements
  8. Work and collaborate on other projects and/or assignments as needed

Job Complexity:

  • Demonstrates mastery of many aspects within one technical discipline, with group-wide recognition as a senior member of a technical team.
  • Shows initiative and creativity that lead to significant changes in existing processes and methods, including leading development and implementation.
  • Solves complex, novel, and non-recurring problems.
  • Contributing inventor on patents.
  • Contributes to conference or journal publications.

Accountability:

  • Works on small projects or subsets of large projects and assignments.
  • Trains and guides others in their technical skills as needed; communicates systematically and effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Participates in and/or leads project teams.

Relationship Focus:

  • Limited and supervised contact at engineering level.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends.
  • Engages actively with suppliers (demos, in-house work).
  • Participates in technical reviews with consortia.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner, supporting all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
  • Possess specialized knowledge, imaginative thinking, and sophisticated analytical techniques.
  • Hold a technical (University) degree.
  • BS degree 4 years of experience.
Required Skills

1. Preferably knowledgeable in Assembly/Test/Probe Equipment/Machines/Tools.
2. Knowledgeable in statistical process control and problem-solving techniques.
3. Good communication skills.
