About the Role

George Optical Inc. is seeking an experienced Optical Technician for our SM Clark, Pampanga branch. This role supports our mission of delivering exceptional vision care through precise lens work, high-quality service, and excellent customer support.

Job Description

• Cut, edge, groove, drill, and adjust lenses and frames
• Operate auto and manual edgers
• Take accurate spectacle measurements using a lensometer
• Fit and adjust all types of frames
• Troubleshoot and maintain optical machines
• Assist customers in selecting eyewear and perform selling tasks
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area
• Provide outstanding customer service and collaborate with the sales team

Qualifications

• College-level education minimum
• 2–3 years of experience in a reputable optical shop
• Strong technical skills in lens cutting, edging, and fitting
• Ability to handle Single Vision, Bifocal, and Progressive lenses
• Proficient in computer applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication skills
• Keen attention to detail and strong organizational ability
• Able to work under pressure and independently when needed

Skills Required

• Technical: Lens grooving, edging, drilling; machine operation & maintenance; lensometer use; frame adjustment
• Soft Skills: Effective communication, personal leadership, detail orientation, teamwork, customer service excellence
