Overall Job Purpose:

Responsible for all aspects of corporate law practice. This includes all legal processes related to the formation, operation, and governance of a corporation, and the provision of strategic support for the operation of the organization with the responsibility of directing activities of subordinate staff in the coordination and management of such support services.

Responsible:

In-charge of giving opinions and advice on all fields of law affecting the operations of the company's business such as but not limited to, general commercial law, corporation law, taxation law and labor law.

  • Draft or review contracts, policies, correspondences/memorandum or other documents necessary for the business operations of the company.
  • Ensure that the company is complying with all laws regulated by various government agencies in the country.
  • Help in conducting legal due diligence and legal research in connection with the nature of the company's business.
  • Practice transactional law in terms of the company's property dealings.
  • Aid in the formation of new corporations depending on the business needs of the company.
  • Assist in corporate housekeeping matters to make sure that the necessary filings are up to date and maintained properly.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings if necessary (i.e., administrative hearings, court trials, etc.)
  • Ensure that the quality management system conforms to the requirements of the International Standard on Medical Devices (ISO
  • Ensure that the organization's processes are delivering their intended outputs.
  • Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization.
  • Ensure that the integrity of the quality management system is maintained when changes to the same are planned and implemented.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned.

Education:

  • Must be a Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws degree holder, and must be a certified bar passer.
  • Preferably a CPA also

Training / Experience:

  • Preferably with at least two (2) years of experience in corporate law and/or commercial law & labor law practice.

Skills:

  • Possess excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exhibit analytical, communication, legal research and writing skills.
