AI Consultant

About the Role

Switch Supply Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced AI Consultant to provide specialized expertise for our AI platform development project. This is a 2-month consultancy engagement to design and implement AI/ML capabilities for our internal platform that connects sourcing, sales, quality control, and product development teams to a centralized supplier and product database.

Engagement Details

Position Type: Consultancy (Contract)

Duration: 2 months

Working Hours: 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM Philippine Time (following Australian business

hours)

Start Date: January 5, 2026

Location: Remote

Reporting: CEO, Switch Supply Pty Ltd

Collaboration: Work alongside lead full stack developer and broader team

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement deep learning models and machine learning algorithms for the AI platform
• Develop intelligent query systems enabling advanced data retrieval across supplier and product databases
• Build automated classification engines for product categorization and supplier matching
• Create predictive models for demand forecasting and supplier performance evaluation

• Collaborate with lead developer (Lucas) to integrate AI components into full stack architecture

• Provide technical guidance on AI/ML best practices and scalability

• Document all AI implementations with clear handover materials
• Identify and flag any gaps requiring additional specialized expertise

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field
• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development and production deployment
• Proven track record of delivering AI projects as a consultant or contractor

Technical Skills

Programming: Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)

Deep Learning: Experience with modern architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers)

NLP: Expertise in natural language processing and Large Language Models (LLMs)

Search & Retrieval: Experience with vector databases and semantic search (Pinecone,

Weaviate, ChromaDB)

Data Engineering: Strong SQL skills and experience with data preprocessing and

feature engineering

Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud AI, or Azure ML

MLOps: Understanding of model deployment, monitoring, and versioning

Soft Skills

Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Comfortable working across Australian business hours (5 AM - 2 PM PH time)

Proactive in identifying challenges and recommending solutions

Strong documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building AI-powered enterprise platforms or internal business tools

Knowledge of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures

Familiarity with supply chain, e-commerce, or product data systems

Experience with API development and full stack integration

Understanding of data security and privacy in AI systems

Previous consultancy experience with defined deliverables and timelines
