Salary Range: ₱100,000 – ₱110,000 / month

Compensation: Base Salary + Equity / Profit Participation

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day (Philippine Time)

About Us

Global City Finance AG is a Swiss accounting and consulting firm supporting small and medium enterprises across Switzerland with accounting, payroll, and tax services.

Together with our Philippine affiliate, Mercurius Global Services, OPC, we are developing a new generation of AI-powered business and accounting software, created fully in-house to redefine how companies manage their finances.

We are a Swiss-led startup of about 15 people, combining Swiss precision with Filipino innovation — small, agile, and fully focused on building world-class intelligent tools.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Lead AI & Automation Developer who will serve as the technical cornerstone of our company's AI development.

This is a founding-level position, ideal for a highly skilled and ambitious engineer who wants to design and lead the creation of cutting-edge systems — with a clear career path toward Head of AI Development / CTO.

You will work directly with the Founder to:

• Build our client platform (web and mobile) for communication, automation, and workflow management
• Design core AI-driven business tools that improve efficiency and data accuracy
• Develop our own AI-based accounting platform, with high levels of automation and intelligence

You will also collaborate with external senior specialists during technical review stages to ensure our systems meet top global standards for performance, security, and architecture.

This role includes profit participation and equity in the products you help build — giving you a true stake in the company's success.

Your Mission

• Design and develop scalable, secure AI-powered systems from the ground up
• Build backend architectures, APIs, and automation pipelines for intelligent workflows
• Implement and integrate AI tools to enhance financial and operational processes
• Establish coding standards, testing, and documentation for long-term growth
• Collaborate with leadership on the technical roadmap and innovation strategy
• Mentor future developers and help shape the technical direction of the company

Responsibilities

• Lead development of AI and automation systems using OpenAI, Azure AI, or similar platforms
• Build and manage scalable APIs and backend architectures
• Implement OCR and intelligent document automation features
• Oversee system reliability, data protection, and compliance with Swiss standards
• Collaborate with the Founder and external experts for code audits and performance reviews

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience, with strong architectural exposure
• Expertise in Python or TypeScript )
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, AI integrations, and cloud platforms
• Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API (OneDrive, Outlook, Teams)
• Database experience (PostgreSQL, Firebase, MongoDB, or similar)
• Excellent grasp of system design, scalability, and automation
• Self-driven, organized, and capable of working at a strategic level

Nice to Have

• OCR / Document AI experience (Google Vision, Azure AI, etc.)
• Experience building accounting, ERP, or financial systems
• Familiarity with workflow automation frameworks (Airflow, Zapier, etc.)
• Mobile app development (React Native / Flutter)
• Experience mentoring or leading small dev teams
