Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Technician at Locavore, you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and facilities are in optimal working condition. Your role is crucial in maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for both staff and guests. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to various systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of restaurant equipment (ovens, fryers, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, aircon, refrigerators and etc..) to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repairs: Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime and maintain service quality.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and safe working practices.
  • Facility Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning, repairs, and upkeep of the restaurant's physical space, including restrooms, dining areas, and kitchens.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage maintenance supplies and tools, including ordering parts and materials as necessary.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for emergency repairs outside of regular working hours, as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in maintenance or a related field, preferably in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) are a plus.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with team members and management.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess situations, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
