  • Provide the required support for all geotechnical works for tenders and projects
  • Ensure the geotechnical operations in all NMDC business areas is being done efficiently and timely manner and according to the required quality
  • Perform Geotechnical analysis of soil samples and study to assess construction site conditions
  • Analysis the soil parameters and study the stability of marine structures under normal and seismic conditions
  • Analyse the soil parameters and provide input to the dredging production estimators
  • Verification and validation of assumed soil conditions during project execution
  • Prepare and develop soil data base and soil models for all tenders and project
  • Analysis geotechnical data and preparation of geotechnical interpretative report (GIR)
  • Analysis, recommendations and design of ground improvement for structural support
  • Manage and organize ground improvement works and process all CPTs, Boreholes and other Monitoring data and evaluate it
  • Develop design drawings and specifications for construction projects
  • Review and approve geotechnical design developed by third party consultants
  • Plan and conduct geotechnical investigation effectively
  • Analyse geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations and prepare data reports to Manager
  • Develop proposals and determine cost and schedule for investigations
  • Provide direction to project team in field inspection activities
  • Interact with customers and team members to complete the assigned project on-time
  • Assist Geotechnical Manager and other Engineers in design and evaluation of tender proposal and/or project construction
  • Review construction design proposals and approve geotechnical aspects
  • Assist with the design of structures, using specialised software or calculations
  • Oversee the progress of specific contracts
  • Supervise site, ground investigations and ground improvement works
  • Ensure correct data processing in a QA/QC approach
  • Implement safety policies and procedures for effective and efficient functioning of the team and its operations
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations

Technical skills

  • Profound understanding about theoretical and practical soil and rock mechanics
  • Sound understanding of relevant geotechnical standards including AAHSTO, Eurocodes and British Standards.
  • Experience with a wide range of geotechnical investigation techniques and site investigation including drilling works, in situ tests etc.
  • Familiarity of industry practices and regulations
  • High Level Knowledge of geotechnical Soft wares and any other Soil model software

  • Flexibility: being longer period on duty & would do additional task as advised by LM/PM
  • Passing physical fitness from AD Health Service Co. SEHA is mandatory. Physical examinations and investigation test as per project requirement will be needed before working at offshore Oil and Gas projects
