Victor Consunji Development Corporation is seeking an experienced Purchasing Assistant to join our growing team. In this full-time role based in Makati City, Metro Manila, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement process and ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and inventory management.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist the procurement team in day-to-day operations, from sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services at the best possible price and quality
  • Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and monitor supplier performance
  • Maintain detailed inventory records and ensure proper storage and distribution of stock
  • Prepare reports and analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide procurement support
  • Support the implementation of procurement policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the regular updating of the maintenance of the purchase order database
  • Responsible for the close monitoring of deliveries of stocks
  • Notify concerned Project Managers and operations concerning delays in deliveries
  • Maintain business system integrity regarding supply orders
  • Assist with preparing daily/weekly order status reporting
  • Assists with preparing formal bid documents for items and services to ensure that materials comply with all the requirements given by the Project Managers/ Site Engineers.
  • Informs other staff and vendors regarding the Company's procedural requirements (e.g., ordering and purchasing procedures, etc.) to facilitate ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance
  • Participates in a meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc., to convey and gather information required to perform job functions efficiently
  • Perform general and program-specific clerical functions (e.g, answering the telephones, distributing purchase orders, scheduling, copying, faxing, etc.) to support departmental accountabilities
  • Processes financial data and documents (e.g., bids, incoming purchase requisitions, mail, etc.) to update and distribute information and acquire resources to support purchasing operations in compliance with established guidelines of the Company
  • Responds to inquiries of staff and administration regarding purchasing procedures to provide information, direction, and referral for addressing the inquiry.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure the most up-to-date data is available for the supply of goods and services
  • Performs related duties and projects as assigned.

What we're looking for

  • 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve procurement-related issues
  • Familiarity with relevant purchasing regulations and compliance requirements
  • Amenable to work in Makati from Monday-Friday.
