At NextPay, we're on a mission to transform the future of finance for businesses. We're looking for a Finance Operations Specialist who can take ownership of our internal finance operations and ensure everything runs smoothly.

This is a full-time remote role (work from home) for candidates based in the Philippines.

What you'll be doing

As a Finance Operations Specialist, you will be a key player in managing and optimizing finance processes. You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing the internal ledger system: Overseeing the accuracy of customer account tracking and ensuring proper execution of transactions.
  • Day-to-day finance operations: Reviewing financial reports, resolving inquiries related to customer ledgers, and performing transaction reconciliations.
  • Optimizing float management: Distributing and managing funds across various banks to maintain liquidity and efficiency.
  • Facilitating inter-bank transactions: Using your understanding of banking systems to ensure smooth transfers between accounts.
  • Process improvement: Identifying inefficiencies within finance processes and recommending system optimizations to improve productivity.
  • Collaborating with engineers: Working with the engineering team to design and implement tools that automate finance operations.
  • Generating reports: Regularly creating reports on financial operations, reconciliations, and analysis using internal tools.
  • Supporting strategic planning: Assisting with simulations and analyses to help shape company strategies, pricing models, and new initiatives.

Our ideal candidate has

  • 3–5 years of experience in finance operations, accounting, or a similar field, preferably in fintech or a fast-paced industry.
  • Proficiency in internal ledger systems, financial reporting tools, and transaction management.
  • Strong analytical skills: Comfortable reviewing and interpreting financial data, spotting discrepancies, and providing actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of float management and inter-bank processes.
  • Experience working with financial automation tools or collaborating with engineering teams to develop such tools.
