Role Description
The Country Head of HR is a senior executive responsible for designing and executing HR strategies that enable Purple Hub to achieve its business objectives. This role leads talent management, organizational and performance management, learning and development, and compensation, while ensuring compliance with Philippine labor laws and fostering an engaged, diverse, and high-performance culture. The position oversees the HR function, drives strategic organizational change, and uses HR metrics to inform decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring extensive HR leadership experience in fast-growing environments, and a proven track record of partnering with CXO leadership. This is a 3-day-a-week on-site Hybrid role located in Manila.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic HR Leadership
- Translate business strategy into comprehensive country-level HR plans and workforce strategies.
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and key organizational design initiatives.
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR priorities with business goals and client delivery needs.
• Talent Acquisition & Management
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment, selection, and onboarding for all business units.
- Develop and implement talent retention strategies, career paths, and leadership development programs.
- Build robust workforce analytics to forecast demand, identify gaps, and drive proactive sourcing.
• Employee Relations & Culture
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-trust workplace culture.
- Proactively address employee relations issues, mediate conflicts, and promote employee engagement initiatives.
Lead change management efforts related to organizational development and cultural transformation.
• Performance Management
- Design and govern performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and calibration.
- Create structured learning paths and succession plans to accelerate high-potential employees.
• Compensation & Benefits
- Develop competitive compensation and benefits strategies aligned with market benchmarks and business objectives.
- Oversee annual salary reviews, incentive structures, and total rewards programs.
- Ensure equitable and transparent compensation practices across the country.
• Learning & Development
- Identify organization-wide training needs and curate development programs.
- Promote continuous learning, leadership development, and certification opportunities.
• HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- Implement scalable HR processes, data governance, and policy frameworks.
- Maintain accurate HR records, data privacy, and robust audit readiness.
• HR Analytics & Reporting
- Define and monitor HR metrics (turnover, time-to-fill, engagement, headcount forecasts, etc.).
- Produce actionable insights to improve talent, culture, and performance outcomes.
- Provide regular executive reporting to inform strategic decisions.
• Leadership & People Management
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing HR team; cultivate a culture of accountability and professional growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to drive talent initiatives across functions.
• Organizational Development
- Lead large-scale organizational development initiatives, including change programs, restructures, and process improvements.
- Support culture evolution and alignment with business strategy.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 12+ years in HR leadership roles, with significant exposure to senior CXO-level collaboration; hands-on experience in fast-growing agency/staffing environments is highly desirable.
• Industry: Preference for candidates with experience in outsourcing, staffing, or professional services.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams; intense coaching and influence skills.
Skills:
- Strategic thinking with strong business acumen.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep knowledge of Philippine labour laws, regulatory requirements, and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with HRIS, analytics, and HR software; data-driven decision-making mindset.
- Change management, program management, and project leadership capabilities.
