Job Summary:

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to recipes, standards, and food safety guidelines. They ensure that meals are of high quality, properly presented, and delivered in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook menu items following recipes and standards.
  • Ensure proper portion control and food presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory and report low stock to the supervisor.
  • Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Work efficiently with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handle kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Cook or Supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or vocational course in Culinary or related field preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen is an advantage (but open to entry-level candidates depending on training).
  • Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
