About the role

STEP is seeking dedicated Collection Associates to join the growing team of our client. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for effectively managing customer accounts, recovering overdue payments, and providing exceptional customer service. As a vital member the Finance department, you will contribute to the company's financial stability and growth.

What you'll be doing

  • Proactively contact customers to follow up on overdue payments and negotiate settlement plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions and account activities
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service to resolve inquiries and disputes
  • Assist with the implementation of collection strategies and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient collections and customer retention

What we're looking for

  • At least six (6) months of experience in a collections and accounts receivables role
  • Graduate of Finance, Financial Management, and other related course
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify effective solutions
  • Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with credit and collections processes, procedures and regulations
