The Collections Associate will be responsible for supporting the company's loan recovery and asset management processes, with a particular focus on Real and Other Properties Owned or Acquired (ROPOAs). The role involves assisting in the monitoring, collection, and resolution of delinquent accounts, as well as coordinating with clients, legal teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage assigned delinquent loan accounts, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolution.
  • Assist in the administration and documentation of ROPOAs, including property turnover, inventory, and status updates.
  • Coordinate with clients regarding payment arrangements, loan settlements, and restructuring options.
  • Work closely with the legal and collections team on foreclosure, litigation, and recovery actions.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of collection activities, agreements, and property updates.
  • Support in the disposal or sale of ROPOAs, including coordination with brokers and buyers.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency in collections and recovery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in collections, loan processing, or related financial services; exposure to real estate or banking operations is an advantage.
  • Experience ROPOA management, loan documentation, foreclosure processes, or credit evaluation IS REQUIRED.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with loan management systems is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
