Job Overview

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the store. The role ensures efficient operations, outstanding food quality, excellent customer service, and profitable performance across both brands. This position plays a key role in supervising staff, controlling costs, and maintaining brand integrity while promoting teamwork and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:1. Store Operations Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of both Jollibee and Chowking areas, ensuring smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams.
  • Ensure compliance with both brands' QSC standards (Quality, Service, Cleanliness).
  • Monitor food preparation, kitchen efficiency, and product presentation per brand recipes and SOPs.
  • Supervise front-of-house (service, cashiering, dining) and back-of-house (kitchen, dispatch, storage) operations.
  • Ensure proper scheduling, manpower deployment, and shift coverage for both brands.
  • Conduct daily sales reconciliation, ensure deposit accuracy, and manage cash controls.
  • Monitor inventory for both brands—raw materials, packaging, and supplies—to prevent shortages or overstocking.

2. Customer Service & Brand Experience

  • Ensure consistent delivery of service standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and empathy.
  • Lead by example in providing joyful, fast, and courteous service.
  • Ensure dining areas are clean, comfortable, and aligned with both brands' ambiance standards.

3. Sales & Profitability

  • Assist in achieving the store's overall sales, profit, and cost control targets.
  • Analyze dual-brand sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Support implementation of Jollibee and Chowking marketing programs and local store promotions.
  • Control food, paper, and labor costs while maintaining product quality and service levels.

4. People Management

  • Supervise and coach service crew, kitchen personnel, and team leaders across both brands.
  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.
  • Ensure staff compliance with grooming, attendance, and performance standards.
  • Build team motivation through recognition and adherence to JFC's values of excellence, teamwork, humility, and spirit of family and fun.

5. Compliance, Safety & Sanitation

  • Enforce compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (HACCP, DOH, and LGU regulations).
  • Conduct daily store walk-throughs and spot checks in both kitchen and dining areas.
  • Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and well-maintained.
  • Monitor adherence to company policies, labor laws, and occupational health and safety protocols.

6. Reporting and Coordination

  • Prepare daily sales and cost reports for both brands.
  • Submit periodic performance, audit, and incident reports to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, HR, and Finance teams regarding store needs and performance updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in restaurant or QSR operations, preferably in a multi-brand or high-volume store.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid knowledge of food service operations, cash handling, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and MS Office applications.
  • Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays.
