Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking components of dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and specifications. This includes maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Section Management: Oversee a designated section of the kitchen, such as sauces, vegetables, or desserts, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and food items are ready for service.
  • Quality Control: Participate in quality control measures, including taste testing and visual inspection of dishes, to maintain consistency and excellence in culinary output.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Follow hygiene and safety procedures to ensure freshness, quality, and compliance with health regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the culinary team, including chefs and kitchen assistants, to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations during service hours.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in the ordering and handling of food ingredients, ensuring proper storage and stock rotation.

Qualifications:

  • At least Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate or Bachelor's/College Degree in any field
  • Qualification from a culinary school.
  • Past experience working in a similar role.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices for safety and sanitation.
  • Passion for delivering great food and service.
  • Multitasking and organizational ability.
  • Available to work shifts during weekends and holidays.
  • Can start ASAP
