Brief Qualifications & Primary Job Descriptions:
The Area Sales Executive (Individual Contributor) is responsible for generating revenue growth by acquiring and managing corporate accounts. This position requires both strategic planning and hands-on sales execution to deliver customized travel solutions that meet business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities- Sales Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute sales strategies targeting corporate clients to meet revenue goals and expand the customer base across new industries.
- Client Consultation
Evaluate corporate travel requirements and recommend personalized travel solutions aligned with client objectives.
- Proposal Management
Prepare accurate and competitive proposals while coordinating with internal teams to design tailored travel packages.
- Revenue Optimization
Monitor sales trends, adjust pricing strategies, and work with the finance team to maintain profitability.
- Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary contact for B2B clients, offering MICE and other value-added travel services. Conduct periodic account reviews to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Market & Competitor Insight
Keep abreast of market developments and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and sustain a competitive advantage.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with operations, marketing, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Reporting & Insights
Track performance metrics and provide management with actionable insights to support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- 2–3 years of sales experience, ideally in corporate travel or B2B environments
- Demonstrated success in client management and revenue generation
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent client relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strategic thinker with strong multitasking and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with CRM systems, travel platforms, and Microsoft Teams/SharePoint is advantageous
- Results-oriented, adaptable, collaborative, and accountable
