Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play role in managing project costs, and resources. You'll lead cost planning, provide financial insights, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Cost Estimation & Budgeting
    – Develop accurate cost plans, BOQs, and feasibility reports.
  • Contract Management
    – Review, interpret, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor agreements.
  • Cost Control & Value Engineering
    – Drive efficiency while optimizing quality and resources.
  • Risk & Claims Management
    – Assess risks, manage variations, and handle contractual claims.
  • Team Leadership
    – Support, mentor, and collaborate with junior QS staff and project teams.
  • Reporting & Documentation
    – Prepare comprehensive cost reports and maintain financial records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in architectural works, interior fit-outs, or finishing scopes
  • Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, procurement, and variation claims
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift)
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines and teams

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity take-off tools
  • Experience in fit-out or architectural project costing

Preferred Skills

  • Deep understanding of architectural standards, procurement practices, and claims management
