Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting FileInvite (FI) & Preparation for Income Tax Returns (ITR) & Business Activity Statements (BAS): This includes preparing FileInvite requests by referring to previous year's ITRs or quarterly BAS, downloading ATO reports, preparing BAS summaries, and checking ATO accounts.
  • Reviewing FI & Saving Documents: After receiving FileInvite documents, updating client responses and notes in worksheets, and saving documents in the client's respective folders, ensuring files are checked and renamed correctly.
  • Send file invites to clients and manage incoming submissions.
  • Organize and maintain document management systems, ensuring files are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Monitor and follow up on client submissions via email in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize ATOmate for document distribution and compliance workflows.
  • Prepare and collate document packs for internal and client use.
  • Support the accounting team in meeting lodgment deadlines and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness in all documentation and client records.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold compliance with data security standards.

Qualifications

  • Background in Accounting or related field (education or experience).
  • Previous experience in an administrative or compliance support role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ATOmate or similar compliance/document automation tools is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based document management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
