The IT Purchasing Officer plays a key role in acquiring technology products, components, and services that support Adverva Technologies' IT solutions and systems integration projects. This position ensures efficient procurement operations from sourcing and vendor negotiation to delivery tracking and asset documentation while maintaining cost effectiveness, compliance, and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute full procurement cycle: sourcing, canvassing, evaluating, and purchasing IT equipment, software, and services.
  • Assess vendor quotations for technical accuracy, cost efficiency, and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure compliance with company approval workflows.
  • Track and verify deliveries, invoices, and supplier performance.
  • Maintain accurate supplier databases, price records, and asset procurement logs.
  • Research new suppliers, benchmark IT products, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist in vendor accreditation and contract management aligned with company policies.
  • Coordinate with technical, finance, and operations teams for purchase validation and payment processing.
  • Contribute to budget planning and expense tracking for IT procurements.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement standards, documentation, and audit requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in IT purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
  • Strong understanding of IT hardware, software, peripherals, and related services.
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and cost analysis skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP/Purchasing systems (experience with SAP, Hubspot, , or similar tools preferred).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple procurement requests simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of importation processes or local IT supplier networks is an advantage.
