Strategic Finance & Risk Management

  • Develops and continuously improves financial and accounting strategies aligned with the company's overall goals.
  • Actively identifies and mitigates financial, commercial, and operational risks to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Leads cash flow and budget management to support sustainable operations and long-term growth.

Financial Operations Oversight

  • Directs day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, ensuring adherence to SOPs and driving process improvements.
  • Experience managing a finance team of 4-6 staff members is essential.
  • Oversees timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing, including preparation of reports covering budgets, cash flow, AP, AR, and expenses.
  • Ensures completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial records and documentation.

Reporting & Decision Support

  • Prepares and analyzes monthly and annual financial reports to assess company performance and support strategic decisions.
  • Conducts cost-benefit analyses for capital expenditure proposals to ensure alignment with company priorities.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Coordinates with auditors and stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and internal control policies.
  • Monitors alignment of operating expenses with approved budgets and strategic objectives.
  • Ensures adherence to external legal and regulatory requirements, minimizing risk exposure.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Provides timely financial support and insights to other departments based on approved work plans and business priorities.
  • Aligns with the Corporate Legal team to manage and enforce commercial and financial obligations of principals and clients.
  • Ensures accurate documentation and facilitation of legal and commercial transactions to support timely settlements.

ERP Utilisation & Data Management

  • Leverages the NetSuite ERP system for data analysis, custom report generation, and performance tracking.
  • Administrator level experience with NetSuite ERP system is required.
  • Ensures timely and accurate procurement process support aligned with budget, quality, and quantity requirements.

Oversight, Audit & Ethics

  • Reviews and audits questionable transactions, processes, or personnel actions based on company policies, procedures, and code of conduct.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA
  • Minimum of 10 years of financial management experience, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
  • With experience in using NetSuite
  • Strong understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis with previous experience overseeing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A solid understanding of financial software and systems.
  • Ability to strategise and solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
