DPO is obligated to monitor internal compliance and ensure that the company or organization processes personal data in compliance with data protection laws. The Data Protection Officer should cooperate with organizational units involved in processing personal data, like Marketing, HR, or Legal.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  1. Inform and advise the company (data controller or data processor) and employees how to be GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliant and how to comply with other data protection laws

  2. Manage internal policies and make sure the company is following them through

  3. Raise awareness and provide staff training for any employees involved with processing activities

  4. Provide advice regarding the data protection impact assessment and monitor its performance

  5. Give advice and recommendations to the company about the interpretation or application of the data protection rules

  6. Handle complaints or requests by the institutions, the data controller, and data subjects, or introduce improvements on their initiative

  7. Report any failure to comply with the GDPR or applicable data protection rules

  8. Monitor compliance with GDPR or other data protection law

  9. Identify and evaluate the company's data processing activities

  10. Cooperate with the supervisory authority

  11. Maintain the records of processing operations

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a graduate of Information Technology/Political Science or any related field

  2. With a working experience as a DPO in an IT Company or related industry

  3. Willing to work in Manggahan, Pasig

  4. Can start ASAP
