Job Description: Local SEO & Google Maps Specialist

Location: Remote (Philippines preferred)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Local SEO & Google Maps Specialist to join our team. Your primary mission will be to increase our clients' visibility and rankings on Google Maps and local search results. You will manage local SEO projects, optimize Google Business Profiles, and collaborate on the development of local project pages and automation tools. This role is ideal for someone passionate about local search, data-driven marketing, and process improvement.

This role is dedicated to Local SEO and Google Maps optimization. It does not include general SEO tasks such as technical site audits, backlink building, or broad organic search campaigns, which are handled by other team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Google Business Profile (GBP) Management
  • Set up, verify, and optimize GBP listings for clients.
  • Ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency across all platforms.
  • Regularly update business information, hours, and service areas.
  • Manage and respond to customer reviews. (Overview only, we will have this automated)
  • Local Project Page Creation
  • Build and optimize location-specific project landing pages.
  • Use automation tools to streamline content creation for local projects.
  • Implement schema markup and embed Google Maps on relevant pages.
  • Local SEO Strategy & Execution
  • Conduct local keyword research and competitor analysis.
  • Optimize on-page elements for local intent.
  • Build and maintain local citations and directory listings.
  • Acquire local backlinks and partnerships. (Not directly in charge of all backlinks, just local backlinks)
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Use platforms like Local Dominator to monitor rankings and generate reports.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities and adjust strategies.
  • Collaboration & Program Management
  • Work with the development team on local maps programs and automation.
  • Prepare for migration and integration of local projects into new platforms.
  • Additional Value-Add Activities
  • Develop or maintain scripts to automate SEO tasks.
  • Create and optimize images (geo-tagging, alt text) for local SEO.
  • Generate and schedule Google Posts and social media updates.
  • Implement review generation campaigns and manage reputation.
  • Document processes and train team members on local SEO best practices.
  • Stay current with Google's local search algorithm updates.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in local SEO and Google Maps optimization.
  • Strong understanding of Google Business Profile management.
  • Familiarity with local SEO tools (e.g., BrightLocal, Moz Local, Yext).
  • Experience with keyword research and analytics tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics).
  • Basic programming or scripting skills (a plus, not required).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.

  • Improved rankings in Google Maps and the Local Pack.

  • Consistent, accurate business information across all platforms.
  • Positive client feedback and actionable reporting.

Salary: ₱20,000 - ₱40,000 per month, Depending on Experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php20, Php40,000.00 per month
