About the Role

As an Australian Accountant, you will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax legislation, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions.

Ideal Candidate (must have requirements)

• A graduate of any 4-year course related to Accounting or Finance (CPA license is a plus)
• 1 year of solid Australian accounting experience
• With comprehensive experience using Xero, Sage, and supplementary tools like Vend, Dext (Receipt Bank), etc. Xero certification is a plus
• Handled several BAS/IAS and individual tax return preparation tasks
• Experience in AU full-charged bookkeeping is preferred but not required.
• Employee work setup will be dependent on the client's discretion

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Preparation and Lodgment of Financial Statements, Tax Returns, and BAS/IAS for Individuals, Partnerships, SMSF Sole Traders, Companies, and Trusts
• Preparing work papers, management accounting, budgeting, and cash flow statements
• Review distribution calculations, superannuation fund tax calculations, and tax returns.
• Assist in the consolidation and accurate and timely delivery of tax reporting deliverables.
• Management of ATO reporting and liaising with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients, including the ATO and ASIC.
• Maintain general ledger accounts by reconciling accounts receivable detail and control accounts; analysing and reconciling accounts payable; preparing fixed asset depreciation and accruals; and overseeing all day-to-day financial transactions
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Fostering and maintaining client relationships.
