Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Management: Research and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and pricing, and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Procurement Process: Place bulk orders, track delivery progress, and resolve any shipping or quality issues with suppliers.
- Inventory and Record Keeping: Track company stock levels, invoices, and deliveries, while also performing inventory inspections. Maintain meticulous records of all orders, payments, and supplier communications.
- Quality and Cost Control: Ensure the company acquires goods and services of the required quality at the best possible prices.
- Internal Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as production, inventory management, and finance, to align purchasing with organizational goals.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.

- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to benefit the company.
- Analytical Skills: Competence in conducting market research, analyzing costs, and evaluating supplier performance.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, track details, and maintain accurate records.
- Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.
- Commercial Awareness: An understanding of the company's business strategy and how purchasing decisions impact profitability.
Example Job Duties
- Compare bids from various suppliers to secure the best deals.
- Verify that delivered goods meet quality specifications.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage of received items.
- Prepare reports on purchase costs and performance.
- Attend trade shows to network and stay updated on industry trends.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
