Job Description

As a Payroll Specialist, you'll take charge of payroll operations for multiple clients, ensuring timely and compliant processing across varied schedules and locations. You'll serve as the go-to expert, resolving issues and collaborating closely with clients and internal teams for exceptional service delivery.

The Qualifications We Seek

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in high-volume payroll processing; multi-client, multi-state payroll preferred
  • Proven ability to manage 50+ clients and 1,000+ employees
  • Strong communication skills-both written and verbal
  • Client-focused mindset with strong advisory capabilities
  • Effective time management in deadline-driven settings
  • Sound understanding of payroll systems and regulations
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office 365

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience using PrismHR
  • Background in a PEO or ASO environment
  • FPC or CPP certification
  • Experience working with US-based clients across industries (restaurants, healthcare, law, construction, logistics, etc.)

Your Daily Tasks

  • Independently manage and process payrolls for an assigned portfolio of clients
  • Handle diverse pay schedules and employee volumes across clients
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on payroll-related issues
  • Maintain compliance with all federal and state payroll regulations
  • Communicate with clients via phone and email to offer top-notch support
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Treasury, Garnishments, Payroll Assistants)
  • Ensure every payroll run is accurate and on schedule
