The General Manager/Treasurer in the Philippines works directly with the Technical Services and Execution Services Teams and is responsible for overall supervision of expat and national workers that support the office and work in the Philippines.
The General Manager/Treasurer is responsible for developing and maintaining business processes and controls to facilitate and optimize execution performance. This is a foreign management position and requires comprehensive experience and the ability to provide direct supervision of others. The General Manager, Philippines reports directly to the Chief of Technical Services. Influential role within the company that requires the individual to spearhead campaigns and initiatives from the Philippines and in support of Execution and Technical Services.
• Responsible for managing office operations and overseeing the day-to-day performance of the team.
• Responsible for improving on business strategies, increasing profitability of the company, recruiting, hiring, training and ensuring the staff stay motivated.
• Interprets contract conditions and ensures compliance.
• Tracks Customer purchase orders, maintenance/service orders, work orders and change orders and updates the team weekly.
• Examines budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, conformance with procedures and alignment with historical metrics.
• Develops/ maintains departmental procedures and ensures team members adhere to those procedures, except where compliance with client standards/ contracts contradicts.
• Ensures timely cost and project reporting is being done frequently and on a consistent basis Provides guidance, support, training and supervision to the project controls department.
• Ensure personnel are provided with proper support and timely input from functional leads.
• Works closely with Operations, Accounting, Procurement, Engineering and Project Management to ensure information is communicated between all groups.
• Has the authority to approve deviations from the established policies and procedures to meet specific requirements.
• Provides expert advice and consultation to management regarding budgetary findings, performance measurement and schedules.
• Advises management of risks that may affect profit, costs, schedules and client relations.
• Train and mentor others and design training programs.
• Develop long-term relationships with internal and external customers and industry community.
• Establish, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to the highest ethical standards for activities conducted in the Philippines.
• Create competitive advantages through new initiatives and creative business models that exceed customer and partner expectations.
• Provide staff with a clear understanding of customer needs and expectations in terms of capabilities, technologies, requirements and their impact on capture/contract content and delivery.
• Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and service providers to support operations.
