The IT Business Analyst will play a critical role in supporting digital transformation initiatives with low to mid-level complexity. This role involves collaborating closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. The BA will bridge the gap between business and IT by ensuring that proposed solutions align with organizational goals and meet user needs — from design to implementation.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesKRA 1 – Project Management

  • Ensure successful execution of requirements management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage with project owners and stakeholders to define scope and requirements.
  • Monitor and track project requirements from analysis to implementation.

KRA 2 – Business Analysis

  • Support vendor assessment activities including RFP preparation, proof of concept participation, and evaluation analysis for vendor selection.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, workshops, and walkthroughs with both business and technical teams.
  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories, use cases, and technical requirements with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), data migration validation, and ensure resolution of identified defects or gaps.

KRA 3 – Communication Management

  • Provide consistent and transparent status reporting for requirements management.
  • Facilitate and negotiate requirements discussions with key stakeholders to reach alignment.
  • Prepare and deliver end-user documentation, conduct trainings, and offer post-implementation support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT-related projects.
  • Strong exposure to insurance systems (preferably C2L or DMS) and/or insurance operations.
  • Experience in SQL (queries, data validation, report generation).
  • Familiarity with recognized project management methodologies or IT project frameworks.
  • Excellent requirements elicitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities, able to influence outcomes and manage expectations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (data analysis, reporting) and PowerPoint (presentations).
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in VBA scripting is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis within the insurance, financial services, or technology sector.
  • Hands-on experience in Document Management Systems (DMS) or C2L Insurance Platform.
  • Prior involvement in digital transformation, data migration, or system implementation projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 18 months

Pay: Up to Php60,000.00 per month
