Corporate Finance Officer

THE ROLE

Provides support to the company's requirements in the aspect of planning and performance management

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares rolling expectations and budgets based on thorough analysis of prior year P&L and current year performance against budget to assist the various units.
• Performs validation of operating expenses of the various units by checking for abnormal trends and illogicalities to correct mispostings.
• Maintains working files that are regularly and appropriately updated to serve as inputs for rolling expectations and budgets of the various units under the Department.
• Prepares ad-hoc analysis that relates to profitability and/or any relevant matters that requires FP&A specialty and/or accessibility to the data/information (e.g. process optimization, market research, competitor analysis, etc.)
• Provides functional heads with decision support in both qualitative and quantitative manner
• Conducts operational/ IT risk assessment exercises for the Department as OR Coordinator by accomplishing templates required by Risk Management in line with the Company's Operational Risk Management (ORM) Framework.
• Ensures full compliance to process manuals and to applicable regulatory/ audit/ compliance standards by keeping abreast of them to prevent audit findings.
• Maintains process manuals by updating them on a timely basis to manage operational risk.
• Prepares weekly ALCO supports by compiling bank and market data and organizing them into relevant format to provide supplemental information to the Segment Head.
• Prepares monthly MPR summaries by compiling information from various sources and organizing it into relevant format for the CFO and President.
• Builds and designs reports and presentation slides by collecting the relevant information for the Segment Head's needs.
• Ensures on-time submission of deliverables by using planning and organizing skills to provide support on a timely basis.
• Ensures accuracy of output through clear understanding of deliverables during pre-development or collaboration sessions to achieve the desired results.
• Ensures constant involvement with internal stakeholders to have clear understanding of ongoing events within the company that may impact the financial performance
• Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of information used and of output generated by observing the Company's Data Classification Policy and Guidelines to ensure accuracy of output and information security.
• Performs other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mathematics/Statistics, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking
• 5 years of experience in Audit & Taxation, Banking and Financial, Corporate Finance/Investment, General/Cost Accounting, Credit (Evaluation/Appraisal), Actuarial/Statistics
• Experience in financial modelline
• Knowledge of accounting and finance concepts
• Strong analytical and computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint;
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to prioritize and meet tight deadlines; Able to digest and simplify technical information and have effective discussions or make effective presentations on it;
• Able to learn quickly and improve persistently
• Keen to details and notices discrepancies/ inconsistencies/ abnormal trends/ illogicalities
