QA Officer is to strategize and synchronize efforts with the Sales and Warehouse departments to guarantee the timely delivery of finished goods while maintaining strict quality compliance. This position directs the Quality Inspection Team to ensure their activities align with both delivery forecasts and regulatory mandates. Additionally, the QA Officer is responsible for managing batch release authorizations, conducting product verification, overseeing environmental monitoring, and driving the continuous improvement of inspection standards.

Contacts / Network Requirements

  • Internal Stakeholders: Warehouse & Logistics, Sales & Marketing, Imports department, Executive Offices (COO and CEO), and the Bidding and Wholesale divisions.
  • External Stakeholders: None required.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Planning & Coordination:

  • Partner with Sales, Bidding, Marketing, and Warehouse teams to harmonize QA inspection schedules with projected delivery timelines.
  • Ensure all delivery schedules adhere strictly to the 30-day insurance validity constraint for products.

Team Supervision & Leadership:

  • Direct and monitor the Quality Inspection Team to ensure inspections are executed accurately, promptly, and in compliance with internal protocols and GMP standards.
  • Provide guidance to staff and resolve daily operational roadblocks that hinder the product release process.

Batch Release & Documentation:

  • Review inspection results and authorize the batch release of finished and repacked goods (FPQC).
  • Compile and submit detailed Inspection Reports to relevant departments to maintain traceability and proper documentation.

Product Verification:

  • Execute final verification checks on finished goods prior to dispatch against approved artwork and specifications, particularly for initial import shipments.

Process Standardization:

  • Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and working standards for inspection activities to ensure process consistency and regulatory compliance.

Personnel Training:

  • Spearhead the training of Quality Inspection staff and assistants, ensuring their full compliance with GMP standards and established inspection SOPs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
  • Work Experience: Prior experience in QA/QC or Regulatory Affairs.
  • Required Licenses & Training:
  • Must be a Registered and Licensed Philippine Pharmacist qualified to perform inspections.
  • Training in Good Storage & Distribution Practices (GSDP).
  • Training in Basic Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
