Quality Control Inspector

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards and specifications before they reach customers. This role involves performing detailed inspections of materials, components, and finished products using precision measuring tools and established procedures. The inspector identifies and reports any defects or deviations, works closely with production teams to resolve quality issues, and maintains accurate inspection records. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of quality control principles, and the ability to follow strict regulatory and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Compliance and Quality Assurance

- Hygiene & Uniform: Ensure strict adherence to personal hygiene (e.g., short nails, no accessories, good health) and mandatory clean commissary uniform (including white inner shirt, lab gown, hairnet, head cap, and exclusive white clogs/boots that must not be worn outside).

- Food Safety & Sanitation: Enforce GMP and food safety guidelines, monitor staff for proper use of uniform/gloves, ensure adherence to handwashing schedules (every 30 minutes/task change), supervise sanitation every 4 hours, and monitor the proper use of color-coded tools.

- Production Oversight: Conduct detailed daily pre-production checks on equipment, materials, and processes. Inspect raw materials, document and report all issues found, and collaborate with production to resolve potential quality concerns before manufacturing starts.

- Cleanliness & Inventory: Strictly implement clean-as-you-work, FIFO/FEFO, and proper waste segregation. Conduct pre- and post-production line checks for cleanliness and tool readiness.

2. Leadership and Team Coordination

- Supervision: Conduct daily pre-production briefings and supervise all commissary staff during pre-production, production, and post-production cleaning.

- SOP & Discipline: Support and enforce the implementation of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Lead by example in professionalism, punctuality, and discipline, encouraging a culture of quality and accountability.

- Teamwork: Coordinate efforts to help the team meet quality targets and deadlines.

3. Reporting and Documentation

- Daily Reporting: Prepare comprehensive daily production reports covering personal hygiene checks, detailed production inspection (Sauce, Bakery, Meat), warehouse inspection, quality measurements for finished products, spoilage/wastage, loose item tracking, and monitoring of oven temperature and thawing.

- Interdepartmental Coordination: Work closely with the Production, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance (QA) Teams to maintain quality, report machine issues, align on protocols, and communicate non-conformities to Supervisors/Managers for corrective actions.

4. Training and Facility

- Training Input: Participate in internal reviews to assess compliance and recommend improvements to inspection methods and training processes. Coordinate with QA for new staff onboarding and documentation.

- Facility Safety: Monitor the proper handling and storage of equipment and supplies, and ensure all safe act practices are followed on the production floor.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or related field

- At least 1–2 years of experience in food production or quality control (preferred)

- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FIFO/FEFO, and food safety standards

- Strong attention to detail, discipline, and hygiene practices

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Willing to follow strict uniform and hygiene protocols

Schedule: Amenable to work 6 days a week (8-hour shift). Flexible and willing to work on public holidays
