About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Virtual Legal Assistant / Paralegal to provide comprehensive support to attorneys in a U.S.-based law firm. The ideal candidate will have strong legal knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment while handling multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and case analysis, summarizing findings for attorney review.
  • Draft, proofread, and prepare legal documents, pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Assist in case management, ensuring all deadlines, court filings, and client communications are handled accurately and on time.
  • Organize and maintain case files, discovery materials, and evidence.
  • Coordinate with clients, courts, and third parties regarding case progress and required documentation.
  • Prepare trial exhibits, deposition summaries, and case outlines as needed.
  • Manage legal databases, e-filing systems, and case tracking software.
  • Conduct initial client intake and gather supporting documentation for new cases.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures, confidentiality standards, and firm policies.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant supporting a U.S.-based law firm.
  • Strong understanding of legal procedures, case documentation, and court filing requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal research databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw), and case management software.
  • Excellent English communication skills — both written and verbal.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; candidates with a Paralegal certificate or relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
