DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

MAJOR:

1.     Network Administration

·       Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

·       Monitor network performance, availability, and security.

·       Manage and support VPNs, VLANs, IP addressing, and network segmentation.

·       Perform regular network troubleshooting and diagnostics.Apply firmware and security updates to network equipment.

2.     Security and Compliance

·       Implement network security protocols, firewalls, and access controls.

·       Conduct vulnerability scans, threat assessments, and respond to incidents.

·       Maintain compliance with organizational and industry standards for network operations.

3.     Support and Maintenance

· Serve as the point of escalation for network-related issues.

· Coordinate with ISPs and other external vendors for troubleshooting and maintenance.

· Provide technical support to internal users for connectivity-related concerns.

4.     Support in ensuring that the Quality Management System requirements are being followed and complied.

MINOR:

5.     Documentation and Monitoring

·       Maintain updated network documentation including IP address schemas, hardware inventory, and configuration files.

·       Use network monitoring tools to generate performance and usage reports.

6.     Project Participation

·       Support IT projects related to network expansion, relocations, upgrades, or redesigns.

·       Participate in planning and implementation of network infrastructure for new branches or warehouse rollouts.

7.     Continuous Improvement

·       Research and evaluate new networking technologies to improve network efficiency and security.

·       Recommend and apply best practices for network operations.

8.     Perform other network-related tasks as assigned by the IT Manager or IT Director.

9.     Provide support during critical incidents or planned changes during off-hours if necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

License/Certificate: Relevant IT Certifications (CCNA, ITIL, MCSA)

Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Experience in IT Support and Supervisory Role

Knowledge & Skills:

·      Computer and other IT Equipment Troubleshooting

·      In depth Knowledge in Network management

·      IT Security and System Administration

·      Leadership Skills
