Qualifications

Technical Skills (Primary):

  • Preferably CCNP and Palo Alto Certified.
  • Strong experience in LAN/WAN/WLAN administration and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in routing protocols (BGP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP).
  • Skilled in LAN technologies (VRRP, VSS, STP) and QoS mechanisms.
  • Experienced in managing Wi-Fi controllers, load balancers (F5/NetScaler), and firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet).
  • Knowledge in SD-WAN (VeloCloud), WAN Optimization (Riverbed), and Cisco Meraki.
  • Background in telephony systems (Cisco, 3CX).
  • Expertise in security administration (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Skybox, Pulse Secure).
  • Strong understanding of DNS and domain management (Infoblox, IPAM), authentication systems (Cisco ISE/NAC, Radius, Tacacs), and SolarWinds lifecycle management.

Technical Skills (Secondary):

  • Familiar with server and cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Basic understanding of the ITIL framework.

Behavioral Skills:

  • 7–10 years in infrastructure, with 5–7 years as a Network Administrator.
  • Proven experience in network security, optimization, and monitoring tools (F5, Riverbed, SolarWinds).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Team player, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills (English required; French reading is a plus).
  • Customer service-oriented with strong problem-solving and collaboration abilities.
  • Willing to travel when needed.

Job Description

Position Summary:

The Network Administrator at Essilor Shared Services Philippines Inc. (ESSPI) supports and manages global IT infrastructure and network operations. This role ensures stable, secure, and efficient network services across 600+ global locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary:

  • Maintain and support existing and new network and security infrastructure (WAN, LAN, WLAN, NLB, Riverbed, Meraki, Cisco ISE/NAC, SD-WAN, SolarWinds, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Skybox).
  • Provide senior-level operational support, handling troubleshooting, incident management, and system documentation.
  • Build, deploy, and administer new network and security solutions.
  • Ensure stability, performance, and lifecycle management of network platforms.
  • Prepare and present reports on network activity, quality, and performance.

Secondary:

  • Evaluate and help qualify new technologies and solutions.
  • Recommend improvements and collaborate with advanced technical teams.
